  1. Your lecture was really relaxed and funny. It definitely represents you and your personality I think. You said that you didn't do very much in high school as far as activities go, but looking back would you change anything now? I liked the quotes that you used in the beginning. I also like the way that you approached the visual aspect of it. I think it was very sincere for you to share some of your scars with us.

    Oh, and nice tie.

  4. I enjoyed how you put together a scar being a picture worth a thousand words. But I thoroughly liked the idea of living the life you want to live and be afraid to tell that story to the next generation.

  6. I like the idea that you presented about a scar being a story that we carry with us, and proof that we have lived. I thought it was really cool how you put so much of yourself into your speech. With every story you told, it was work like you were just talking to us rather than lecturing. I thought it was great how you talked about your regrets as well as things you were proud of in high school. I liked that the main theme of your speech was living a life full of meaning, and not holding back on anything that you may regret later. Very nice job, Brandon!

  7. Brandon I totally dig the idea that you kept certain quotes as an outlying genre. It let me focus on your whole project but with several different smaller foci. I also liked the picture with Mark, they all were real funny. You have a great way to talk to us like we are your peers, you were not talking down to us or acting like this is a real project, felt authentic. If I were Mrs. Smith I'd give you a A, but i I were Mrs. Smith I'd also not give us homework.

  8. I have never really thought about how scars are that important and when he said that scars are proof that we lived, that was really interesting. I thought the slides that had the insert here was a good idea, I think everyone wishes they would of done more.

  9. You did a very good job of tying in the theme of scars into your whole presentation. That was a really good idea. You also did a great job of speaking. You were very comfortable and real. It made it very interesting that you didn't ever read from your note card.

  10. Brandon-
You came up with a great subject using scars. You came up with a great way to introduce your life and your beginning. You made everyone see that you have had a rough life and that you handled everything so well. You have changed so much it seems since you were 3 and jumping off the railings at school and jumping our driveways on rollerblades. It would seem that you tried to incorporate everything about Arapahoe that you loved and explained to us how you want us to live in the future. Have a great life Brandon and remember to enjoy everything from the scars to the fun.

  11. Looking at the fact that high school being a bridge really makes me think about how much we really have left in our lives, I love it. Most people think that high school is such a big deal, and it really is nothing to us.
"We're growing into the people we are going to be for the rest of our lives" I love that you said that. It is so true and I think most people think that right now is the biggest part of the rest of our lives, but in reality it's just the beginning, and I'm glad you said that.
You made me think more about what is coming, and that with the scars we move through our lives with, we live more and more. I can't wait to see the rest of our scars that we get! I have some pretty sick ones already, and your roller blading one is really legit.

  12. I really liked your theme. It was different and you kept with it throughout your lecture. The story telling and quotes were key to getting your point across. It was relaxed and funny and we could really see the difference between you as a kid and you as a semi adult. ;-)

  13. Brandon, I love the idea of scars. It took me back to my childhood when i got my first scar. Your arm story reminds me of my older sister. She decided to put sun tan lotion on her and decided that she wanted to go on the monkey bars. Well she fell off and broke her arm. You did really good, you just seemed to say um a lot. But you made me feel as though I have been living a live where I am to worried about hurting myself when really I need to be less careful.

  14. Brandon never ceases to amaze me, and he always seems to make me laugh like a little kid. His presentation was a testimony of how truly awesome his personality is; he is a steezy mofo fosho. I am glad to know him, I respect him very much. Good job Brandon.

  16. I thought how you related scars to gaining experience through life was awesome. I agree I that scars are good to have in life because that shows you know what your doing and you have been there.

  17. I really like the idea of scars and how they have a story behind them and how scars become more emotional. its a cool idea how high school is a bridge . Its kind of crazy to think how far we've all come from freshman year.As well as how far we've come from middle school and into high school.

  18. Brandon-

I really like how you put emphasis on not really doing to many clubs or sports throughout highschool, but you still had a good time. I can relate, In sports i never had any motivation to go to practice or work hard so I would have fun being lazy with friends. That was the part of your last lecture that really hit home. I also think you did really well with using the scar imagery. Good job and good luck with the next step in your life.

  19. Brandon I really liked how you started with the quotes to keep in mind. I thought that they tied in with your idea of a mental as well as a physical scar. You did a great job presenting, you seemed really comfortable in front of the audience and kept the attention of the audience well. I think that your presentation proved the point of your lecture, you gave it your all and didn't hold back. Good job!
